Salted or Unsalted Butter (#100)
I typically buy unsalted butter, but occasionally see recipes for salted butter. Why the difference? And can I just add a certain amount of salt per cube of butter to make up the difference?

That's exactly what you should do. I always buy the unsalted as well and if I need to add salt I do. It's always best to start with less salt (hence the unsalted butter) and add if you need. It's hard to go the other way.
