In my experience flour can be pretty forgiving. I imagine if you live in a very humid climate you have to be careful about storage but quite truthfully I am somewhat lazy and I just leave it in the ten pound bag I purchased it in. I would keep it away from hot places in the kitchen since it might lose its nutritive value more quickly around heat but otherwise just be sensible and it should be fine for months.
